Laney drops season opener to West Carteret 3-2
WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Laney volleyball opened their regular season at home on Wednesday, but fell to West Carteret in five sets.
The set scores were 25-16, 17-25, 25-19, 24-26, 15-7.
After falling in the opening frame, the Bucs responded by dominating the 2nd. That same pattern would follow the next two sets, the latter of which Laney took in extras.
The Patriots however rallied to more than double up the home side in the decisive 5th frame.
