Trask Middle School student hit by car

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The NC Highway Patrol is investigating after a student was hit by a vehicle early Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 8:00 a.m. in front of Trask Middle School.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says the student was knocked to the ground.

EMS checked for injuries, saying there only were very minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle has been charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
