Leland Man arrested for indecent liberties with a child in Pender County

PENDER COUNTY, NC (AP) — A Leland man has been arrested and charged with taking indecent liberties with a child, according to the Pender County Sheriff’s Office.

Ruben Alvarado Rodriguez, 38, was taken into custody on August 21 by detectives from the Pender County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, in collaboration with law enforcement officials from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. Rodriguez faces one count of indecent liberties with a child.

Following his arrest, Rodriguez was issued a secured bond of $25,000. His first court appearance was scheduled in Pender County District Court later that same day.
