Leland Police and Fire unite for annual ‘Pack the Patrol Car’ to support families in need
BRUNSWICK COUNTY (WWAY) — The Leland Police and Fire and Rescue departments teamed up for their annual “Pack the Patrol Car” event in partner with “Brunswick Family Assistance.”
Both Leland Fire and Rescue and the Police Department were at the Walmart in Belville Friday to collect toys and non-perishable food items to donate to Brunswick Family Assistance.
This annual event is a way to spread holiday cheer and provide children and families with both gifts and meals for the holiday.
Leland Chief of Police, Jeremy Humphries, says the department loves to share Christmas joy to those who need it this holiday season.
“Christmas spirit is about giving and being there for, you know, our neighbors and supporting them in tough times, and that’s what we’re here to do today is to spread that Christmas cheer and joy and support our neighbors,” said Humphries.
Humphries says they enjoy partnering with Brunswick Family Assistance and helping stock shelves for families this Christmas.
