Leland robbery suspect arrested in Bladen Co.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said the man wanted in an armed robbery in Leland has been arrested and charged.

Deputies said the robbery happened Tuesday night around 9:30 p.m. at the Leland Supermarket located in the 1300 block of Lanvale Road. They say last night around 7:00 p.m., Da’Andre Kiheem Smith, 16, was arrested at a traffic stop in Bladen County on Highway 211. Deputies said Smith is also facing charges in connection with an attempted breaking and entering in March at the same store.

Smith is facing charges including robbery with a dangerous weapon. He’s in jail under a $1.1 million bond.
