Leland’s Frank Herzog inducted into D.C. Sports Hall of Fame over the weekend


WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWAY) — Leland resident Frank Herzog was inducted into the D.C. Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday prior to the Washington Nationals baseball game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. There were nine new inductees in all, including Patrick Ewing, Christine Brennan and Dexter Manley. Frank Herzog served as the play-by-play voice of the Washington Redskins from 1979 to 2004.
