Library hosts Color for Calm event

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Coloring isn’t just for kids! Adults can get in on the fun too.

The New Hanover County Public Library hosted a Color for Calm event today at their Northeast location and there are more to come.

Participants say it’s a great way to relax and come together with friends.

“I think a lot of people grew up coloring, and you know, love that artistic element of it, but maybe don’t get a chance to do it at their job or life gets too busy and they don’t think about that. But this is a way to kind of just focus on something without too much stress around.” Librarian Annice Sevett said.

The library hosts adult coloring events once a week on Thursday afternoons, and plans to continue doing so through June.
