Lightning may have sparked Calabash fire

CALABASH, NC (WWAY) — Lightning may be responsible for a fire in Calabash late last night.

The fire broke out at a home on Kirk-Lady Court.

Investigators don’t know what sparked it, but believe it may be from lightning.

Firefighter say damage was minimal and no one was hurt.

Shortly after that, another fire was reported nearby on Downing Glen Place but investigators think it started from ceiling speakers.
