Local ‘The Links, Incorporated’ chapter holds 47th Annual Fine Arts Brunch

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington North Carolina Chapter of The Links Incorporated, held their 47th Annual Fine Arts Brunch Saturday at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside.

The event promoted a message of “Enhancing our Legacy Through the Arts”. Hundreds of people attended the event, which included speakers, performers and a fashion show.

According to their website, The Links, Incorporated is “driven by demanding cultural, educational and civic changes in our community”. The local chapter in Wilmington began in 1952.

Some organizational goals, as stated on the organization’s website, include:

To target critical youth issues through collective engagement to advocate, educate and advance those issues for the benefit of youth of African descent.

To foster creativity , dreams, and imagination through artistic endeavors.

To prepare and inspire the membership through effective leadership training.
