Local BBQ joints bring their best to Belville Riverwalk

BELVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Belville Riverwalk Park was the place to be for BBQ lovers as many local barbecue restaurants showcased their award-winning dishes in a spirited competition.

Belville’s Bands Brews and BBQ was a way for attendees to sample a variety of BBQ offerings while enjoying live music and browsing multiple vendor booths from different organizations.

Both amateur and professional cooks went head-to-head in the BBQ cook-off, all vying for the top spot and bragging rights.

The big winner of the day was Feelin’ Swine, which not only took home first place but also snagged the People’s Choice Award. They announced that they will be opening a new location in Wilmington very soon.
