WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Loggerhead Golf Co. has reopened under new ownership after closing in late August.

Loggerhead announced it will close its doors on Thursday, Aug. 29, after serving golfers across the Wilmington area since 2020.

Owner Darrell Posey shared the news in a message to customers and the community, calling the decision “very difficult” and citing economic challenges along with personal and professional factors.

“We want to sincerely thank our loyal customers and this community for your years of support,” Posey said. “Serving you has been one of our greatest honors, and we hope that we were able to provide you with not just products and services, but an experience that was truly unmatched.”

However, the local golf shop reopened on November 21st under new ownership. The business is still locally owned and plans to expand its services, which includes a new ecommerce website, as well as increasing its instruction and fittings. The owners plan to also introduce new technology.

Remodeling will take place in January.
