Local Government Commission approves $32 million request, City of Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– The State Treasurer’s Local Government Commission has approved the City of Wilmington’s request for 32-million dollars in limited obligation bonds for multiple capital projects.

The money will be used for projects like streets, streetscape, riverwalk improvements, and construction of a portion of the nCino sports complex.

The application before the commission notes that City of Wilmington also wants to acquire two blocks of riverfront property, and repair a bulkhead wall on that property located along the future Water Street Park.
