Local restaurant named one of the best new restaurants of the south
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A local restaurant is getting some national attention. PinPoint restaurant in downtown Wilmington has been named as one of South Living’s Best New Restaurants of the South in 2016.
The restaurant is located at 114 Market Street and has been open for one year and five months.
Chef and Co-Owner Dean Neff said PinPoint is a community restaurant that works with local farmers and provides seasonal, southern food.
“It’s incredible,” Neff said. “It’s an honor and it takes an army to have a restaurant like this, and we’re just really thankful that we have a really wonderful crew and network of farmers and people in the community to kind of help us along.”
One of the restaurant’s signature dishes is a smoked catfish dish with antebellum grits, green tomato slaw, seared okra, and mushrooms.
