Local star shares about her recent role on “Tell Me Lies”

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — No “lies” were told during this interview. WWAY sat down with Bladenboro native Alayna Hester, who is making a significant impact on the small screen.

You might recognize Hester from her previous roles, including her character in “Dope Sick.” However, her most recent role has been playing Sadie DeMarco on Hulu’s series “Tell Me Lies.”

In “Tell Me Lies,” Hester portrays the younger sister of Stephen DeMarco, a character played by actor Jackson White. While their on-screen relationship is complicated, Hester shares that off-camera, they couldn’t be closer.

“Jackson specifically—being able to work together again this season after having a pretty long hiatus between season one and two—it was just a beautiful reuniting. We fell immediately back into our connection as siblings on the show, but we also feel that way in real life, so it was a beautiful thing to revisit that together,” Hester explained.

The finale for Season Two of “Tell Me Lies” aired today, and fans are eager to see where the story goes next.
