Local women’s club hosts annual antique show

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The oldest women’s club in North Carolina, the NC Sorosis and its younger club, the NC Junior Sorosis, teamed up this weekend to host their 45th annual Wilmington Antique Show and Sale.

The Wilmington Antique Show and Sale is held every last full weekend of January in the Coastline Conference & Event Center.

The proceeds from the event will be used to help many local organizations and charities.

Teresa Lee is the Co-Chair of the Antique Show and she said, “All the money for the silent auction will to “Communities in Schools” Cape Fear, which mean it will stay just right here in Wilmington. “Communities in Schools” is a national organization for prevent of drop out in high schools.”

There are more than 30 antique dealers from 10 states at the sale offering items ranging from jewelry to furniture to glass-repair services.

Every year, 2 scholarships are given to college students from the money raised at the event.

The show will be open Sunday from 11-4pm.
