3-point shooting leads Cape Fear men’s hoops past rival Brunswick CC

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–Every rivalry game seems to start slow, with each team trying to get their footing in the ballgame. That was the case on Wednesday night as the Cape Fear men’s basketball team hosted their rivals Brunswick Community College in front a huge crowd at the newly renovated Schwartz Center.

It took until midway through the first half for the Sea Devils to catch fire. Cape Fear CC outscored the Dolphins 32-12 in the final eight minutes of the half. Brunswick CC could never get back within 20 of the Sea Devils. Cape Fear pulled away in the second half for the 109-79 win to sweep the Dolphins on the year.

Brunswick Community college will host Caldwell Technical Community College on Friday night, Cape Fear will host the same team on Saturday afternoon in Wilmington.
