Long Beach Road project nearing end

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A NCDOT spokesman said of the many road construction projects in the county, one is nearing an end.

Brian Rick said the Long Beach Road extension project in the Oak Island/Southport area should be wrapping up by the end of October, unless there are weather delays. This project re-routed Long Beach Road from Oak Island to NC 211 and extended it to NC 87.

Other projects in the county, including the Causeway Project and I-140 are on schedule, Rick said. He added there will be various resurfacing projects this fall throughout the region.
