Longtime NC legislator R.C. Soles laid to rest in Tabor City

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — Former Columbus County Senator and Attorney R.C. Soles Jr. has been laid to rest.

He died at the age of 86 on Friday at McLeod Loris Hospital in South Carolina.

Funeral services were held at Tabor City Baptist Church Monday morning and graveside services were at Myrtle Green Cemetery.

He served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 1969 to 1976 and the North Carolina Senate from 1977 to 2011.
