LSU edges UNCW 2-0 in NCAA Baseball Tournament
BATON ROUGE, LA (WWAY) — It was an outstanding college baseball game even though it didn’t start until 11:15pm EST. It just didn’t go UNCW’s way. The Seahawks failed to get a hit with a runner on base. That proved to be one of the biggest obstacles on Saturday night/Sunday morning for Mark Scalf’s squad. LSU beat UNCW 2–0 with a run in the 7th and 9th innings in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Alex Lange threw a complete game shutout for the Tigers.
UNCW will face Tulane on Sunday afternoon in an elimination game. The winner will face LSU on Sunday night in the Baton Rouge Regional (double elimination).
Note: The game started at 11:15pm EST. It ended at 2:10am EST.
