Update: Malpass Corner announces school make-up day
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – Students will have to make-up missing school on Wednesday, after a water main break caused officials to cancel classes.
The Saturday school scheduled for September 10 at Malpass Corner Elementary School has been rescheduled.
Pender County Schoosl communications coordinator Miranda Roberts released this statement:
“The water pump has been fixed and is working properly. However, the installation of the new pump has created an electrical issue in the pump house.
A new make-up day is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2016. This will be a regular school day from 7:45 a.m. – 2:50 p.m.
Roberts also said that there will not be any after school activities, Saturday.
