Man accused of breaking into NC Little Caesars and making pizzas

KINSTON, NC (WWAY) — A former employee of a Little Caesars in Kinston is facing multiple felony charges after police say he broke into the restaurant twice, including once to make and sell pizzas while keeping the money for himself.
The Kinston Police Department said officers responded to the restaurant on Sunday after receiving a report of a breaking and entering.
Investigators say 41-year-old Jonathon Hackett unlawfully entered the business on two separate occasions.
During the first incident, police said Hackett entered the restaurant, prepared pizzas, sold them to customers and kept the proceeds.
In the second incident, authorities said Hackett again broke into the business while employees were inside. Police said employees tried to stop him from entering, leading to a physical altercation.
Hackett was treated at UNC Lenoir Health Care for injuries sustained during the confrontation before being taken into custody. He was later transported to the Lenoir County Jail.
