Man arrested for allegedly hitting man with broom before stabbing him

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man was recently arrested in Columbus County for allegedly hitting a man with a broom before stabbing him.

Michael Earl Moore, 62, of Fertilizer Road in Riegelwood stabbed the victim with a knife in the arm and back, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Both people sustained injuries and were transported to New Hanover Medical Center for treatment.

Moore is in custody under a $100,000 bond.
