Man arrested for allegedly slashing victim with knife during argument

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man has been arrested for allegedly slashing a person with a knife during an argument.

Law enforcement says the fight happened Sunday just before 6:00 p.m. at the Might as Well Bar on Racine Drive.

Marlon Broadwater, 51, got into an argument with a co-worker and cut the victim on his shoulder, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

Broadwater was arrested and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill.

He is being held in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $25,000 secure bond.
