Man charged after nearly 100lbs of weed found in car

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office have charged a man after they say they found almost 100 pounds of marijuana in his car.

Deputies say Thursday they arrested Adrian Tramaine Garrison, 30, of Wilmington in Rocky Point. He’s facing charges including trafficking marijuana.

Investigators say Garrison was found with 99.6 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

Garrison was placed in the Pender County Jail under a $500,000 secure bond.

Deputies say the investigation was initiated by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Narcotics Division. The investigation covered numerous jurisdictions and involved investigators with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office, Wilmington Police Department, and the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office.

Garrison’s criminal record includes convictions for drug possession and trafficking.
