Man charged after Wilmington police recover more than 30 bindles of fentanyl

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police say a traffic stop early Wednesday led to the seizure of more than 30 bindles of fentanyl, along with crack cocaine and marijuana.
Just after midnight, officers stopped a vehicle in the 4100 block of Princess Place Drive in reference to a driver with a suspended license, according to WPD. Police say a K-9 alerted to narcotics, and a subsequent search found the passenger in possession of the drugs.
The passenger, Theodore Wilson, 50, of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with manufacture of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver (PWIMSD) a Schedule II controlled substance; PWIMSD cocaine; felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; felony possession of cocaine; and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges, police said.
Wilson is being held at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office detention facility on a $75,000 secured bond.
