Man charged in series of car break-ins

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY)– The Pender County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man in a series of car break-ins in a Hampstead neighborhood.

Deputies say Gregory Joseph Carley was arrested Thursday morning around 6:00 a.m. after he was located in the White Bridge neighborhood. Deputies say he stole items from 10 vehicles throughout the neighborhood.

Carley was charged with numerous counts of breaking and entering motor vehicles, and possession of stolen property. Carley is in the Pender County Jail under a $50,000 secure bond.
