Man charged with killing fiancee 7 months after her death

JACKSONVILLE, NC (AP) — Onslow County deputies say they have charged a man with murder nearly seven months after his 58-year-old fiancee was found dead in their Jacksonville home.

Authorities said 57–year-old Timothy Noble was charged Thursday with an open count of murder.

A medical examiner originally ruled Debra Holden’s October death a suicide, but changed the cause of death to homicide after more evidence was discovered. Authorities did not give details about that new information.

Noble is being held without bond. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
