Man charged with three counts of murder, robbery following Clarkton homicides

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Bladen County man has now been charged with three counts of murder and robbery after deputies discovered three people dead inside a Clarkton home Monday night, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Bladen County 911 received a call around 7:30 p.m. about a shooting at a home on E. Roberts Street. Deputies arrived to find Kevin Musser, 35,  standing at the front door with bloody clothing while holding a handgun.

Musser was airlifted to a Chapel Hill hospital for treatment.

Inside the home, deputies found Daniel Dennis, 62, Randy Benton, 54, and Phillip Palmer, 32. Each had been stabbed multiple times.

Online records show Musser was booked in the Bladen County jail shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning.

He is charged with three counts of First Degree Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place Controlled Substance.
