Man dies after being crushed by flipped lawnmower in Seneca

SENECA, SC (AP) — Authorities say a 57-year-old man has been crushed to death after the lawnmower he was driving flipped on top of him.

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said in a news release that Harvy Joe Price was found dead by his brother under the mower around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Addis say Price was backing up the zero-turn mower when it went into a ditch and flipped over. The mower compressed Price’s lungs and he couldn’t breathe.

The coroner says he is classifying the death as an accident.
