Man dies after stabbing in Wilmington, police say

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  A man died Saturday evening following a stabbing in Wilmington.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded to the 100 block of Montgomery Avenue shortly after 8:15 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, they found a man with severe stab wounds.

The victim, Jeffrey Jermaine Scott, 44, died at the scene.

Cedric Johnson, 46, has been charged with Second Degree Murder. Bond information is not available at this time
