Man enters Alford plea in second degree murder case in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man has entered an Alford plea to second-degree murder for a death that happened in 2022.

Treyquan Jenkins was one of the people charged in the death of Tyshaun Delts in 2022, who was shot on April 5th, 2022, in the 200 block of North 11th Street in Wilmington.

A judge sentenced Jenkins to at least 25 years behind bars.

His possession of a firearm by a felon charge was voluntarily dismissed according to the terms of the plea agreement.
