Man found dead in chair at NC beach resort

ATLANTIC BEACH, NC (WNCT) — The body of a Maryland man was discovered at Atlantic Beach Thursday morning.

Howard Linn James, 60, was found in a chair on the beach in front of the Dunes Club, according to Atlantic Beach police.

Police were called to the scene around 8:30 a.m. and the scene was cleared around 11 a.m.

James was identified by a wallet that was with him, and his next of kin was notified right away.
