Man hurt after Market St. robbery, assault

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating an assault and robbery.

It happened just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Market Street. Police say a man told them he was robbed and attacked while walking from the downtown area. He reported a cell phone and wallet were taken in the incident. The male victim was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
