Man injured in ramen noodle attack

WILMINGTON, NC (StarNewsOnline) — A New Hanover County man is being treated in Durham for second-degree burns after his girlfriend reportedly threw boiling water on him, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Carly Raynor, 24, a bartender, was booked into the New Hanover County jail on suspicion of felony assault inflicting serious injury.

Lt. Jerry Brewer said Raynor and Channing Gardner, 27, were home at 1022 Lacewood Court about midnight Friday when Raynor threw a boiling pot of soup at Gardner.
