Man killed in Christmas Eve shooting in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) – Police in Jacksonville are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a mobile home park on Christmas Eve.

The Daily News of Jacksonville reports that, according to police warrants, the shooting occurred about 10 p.m. on Thursday.

The warrants identified the shooting victim as Fernando Alonzo. They said that police have arrested and charged 48-year-old Pedro De La O with murder and assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflict serious injury.

It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
