Man killed in pedestrian-involved crash

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — No charges will be filed after a deadly crash involving a van and a pedestrian.

It happened near the intersection of Carolina Beach Road and Shipyard Boulevard today before noon. Police said Christopher Patrick Cook, 24, was walking toward his home when he was struck by a mini-van. They said the driver of that van had a green light and did not see Cook as he was crossing.

No charges will be filed in the incident.
