CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A man pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges on Monday following his arrest at a Carolina Beach gas station back in 2023.

The arrest happened when Carolina Beach officers responded to a report of an unconscious individual in the passenger seat of a car at the Scotchman gas station on Canal Drive. Officers found Andrew Holman, 41, and his girlfriend in a lethargic state while still parked at the gas pump and discovered that Holman had an outstanding warrant in Durham.

Law enforcement officers discovered more than 4 grams of a fentanyl and heroin mixture in his vehicle.
