Man wanted for first degree murder in Maryland arrested in Leland

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who was wanted for murder in Maryland around midnight Thursday morning.

Raheem Hawkins-Boseman, 23, was arrested at an apartment on Kingsmeadow Circle in Leland.

He is wanted out of Maryland by the Prince George County Police for the murder of Jessica Somerville, who was found dead on March 17th.

BCSO Vice and Narcotics Unit and SWAT team executed a search warrant at the residence in Leland and took Hawkins-Bosemen into custody without incident.

Hawkins-Boseman is currently being held on detainer at the Brunswick County Detention Center.
