Man wanted in Scotchman armed robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department are looking for a man accused of robbing a gas station clerk at gunpoint.

Police say the robbery was reported at the Scotchman on the 900-block of 3rd Street at around 3:15 a.m. They say a man had a semi-automatic handgun and took money and cigarettes from the store. The clerk was not hurt in the robbery.

The man is described as a black male in his 20s wearing a light-colored shirt and jeans. The man, however, had a gray shirt wrapped around his head to hide his face.
