Many search for opportunities at job fair

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Hundreds were on the hunt for a new job at the Cape Fear Community College Schwartz Center Friday.

New Hanover Workforce Center & Lower Cape Fear Human Resource Association held a job fair with a variety of employers there including WWAY.

David Ancrum says he’s looking for employment and the process hasn’t been easy, but things are improving.

“As a veteran it can be difficult,” Ancrum said. “It can be difficult because there doesn’t seem to be as many job opportunities in ratio to the population especially to veterans in Wilmington, but it looks pretty promising.”

Volunteers were also on-site to review resumes.
