Market season sprouts again in downtown Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Riverfront Farmers Market is back for its 22nd season, bringing locally grown and produced items to downtown Wilmington every Saturday.
Held on Dock Street, the market operates rain or shine and features a range of vendors and small businesses offering everything from fresh produce to handmade goods.
Chad Lanzo, who began selling at the market last year, says it’s a unique way for shoppers to find local treasures.
“Even shark teeth from, like, Holden Beach and Carolina Beach sand—trying to keep that local angle. Because I figure if someone is coming to a farmers’ market, they want something that’s local, and, you know, if they are buying it as a gift, that they got it in a local market vs. some big vendor,” Lanzo said.
The Riverfront Farmers Market is scheduled to run every Saturday through mid-November.
