McCrory talks transportation at NC Transportation Museum

SPENCER, NC (AP) — Gov. Pat McCrory is talking about his Connect NC proposal at an appropriate venue – the North Carolina Transportation Museum.

The governor, Cultural Resources Secretary Susan Kluttz, Transportation Secretary Tony Tata and Budget Director Lee Roberts visit the museum in Spencer on Thursday to discuss the bond proposal.

It is one of a series of roundtables that top officials are holding around the state to discuss a plan to upgrade the state’s roads and infrastructure. McCrory is proposing that voters go to the polls later this year to consider two bond issues of $1.5 billion each – one for roads and one for other infrastructure.
