McDonald’s tuition program supports two local graduates
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two local McDonald’s owner/operators recognized two employees this week for earning their college degrees through a national education initiative.
The program, called Archways to Opportunity, offers tuition assistance and career development resources to McDonald’s employees.
Clint Campbell Jr. and Adam Williams both completed college degrees with help from the program.
Williams is a general manager at a McDonald’s in Supply. He spoke about the financial support he received through Archways.
“Mr. Anderson was a great big help with this. I’m very appreciative. School is expensive, and because of my position I make too much to do financial aid anyway, so the Archways was definitely a great opportunity to me.”
Williams plans to continue working toward a degree in business administration.
According to McDonald’s, the Archways to Opportunity program has provided more than $185 million in tuition assistance to employees nationwide.
