Memorial held for Lennon Lacy 1 year after death
BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina NAACP held a vigil tonight for a Bladen County teen found dead one year ago.
17-year old Lennon Lacy was found hanging from a swing-set in a Bladenboro mobile home park on August 29, 2014.
Members of Lacy’s family, the NAACP, and the community came to the memorial service held at First Mission Baptist Church. They said they continue to pray for justice, for peace, and for answers.
Those in attendance tonight said they still think the answers will be found in Lacy’s death. many members of the community retain that Lacy’s death was suspicious and they suspect that foul play was involved.
The FBI is still involved in the investigation.
