Men arrested in connection to Brunswick Co. shooting

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two men wanted in connection to a Friday shooting on Hooper Road are now behind bars.

According to jail records, Dontee Deshawn Forte, 18, and Torrance Lemar Shaw Jr., 24, were booked just before 7 p.m. Monday night. Both are charged with one count discharging a weapon into an occupied moving vehicle and three counts assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill. Both are being held under $250,000 secured bonds in the Brunswick County Detention Center.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says Aaron Grant Oliver, 19, is also charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a weapon in an occupied dwelling/moving vehicle. He was arrested soon after the shooting Friday.

The sheriff’s office says the shooting happened after a domestic incident.

No one was hurt.
