Missing teen found, wanted suspect in custody

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says a missing teen has been located. The man she was with is in custody. He’s wanted in connection with a separate crime in Brunswick County.

Tiffany Lynn Wilkins, 12, was reported missing last week. Deputies said she was possibly with Franklin Ray Lewis, 20. Lewis is wanted in connection for a break-in at a home on Greenhill Road in Brunswick County. They say a safe containing items including cash was taken from the home at some time during the afternoon or evening on Tuesday.

Capt. David Nobles tells WWAY Wilkins was located in Baltimore Friday night. Lewis was arrested but is still in Maryland.
