“More people than usual at Wilmington International Airport,” says traveler

Wilmington, NC (WWAY)– Thanksgiving season is finally over, and that means people must go back to work. The weekend after Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times of the year for traveling. People head back home after visiting loved ones or taking a vacation.

It’s been no exception at Wilmington International airport, as many people were either arriving or leaving.

James Carney, who is coming back from Philadelphia, spoke about his experiences trying to get back home.

I would say it was a little relaxing. A little more people I guess here now that I am arriving. It definitely is more people at this airport than I usually have ever seen,” said Carney.
