More than 100 charges in Brunswick DWI checkpoint

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — There were multiple Booze it and Lose It checkpoints across the area over this weekend.

One hosted by Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office this past Friday evening led to a total of 121 charges.

There were 5 DWI charges, 18 seat belt charges, 71 traffic charges, 14 misdemeanor drug charges, 7 felony drug charges, 6 other criminal charges.

The checkpoint was located on US 17 South just before Waterford Way.
