More than 100 instruments donated to D.C. Virgo Preparatory

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  It was an exciting day for several New Hanover County school students as more than 100 instruments were donated to D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy.

National Pawn Owner Bob Moulton help make that happen along with giving the school 2,000 to off set future repair and maintenance costs to their instruments.

This has been a tradition since 2011 and Moulton says he’s so grateful to be able to do it again.

“It feels great to give back, said Moulton. I am an Eagle Scout and that’s what we are trained to do. It’s my good deed of the day.”

If you have an instrument that you don’t need or use anymore you are encouraged to donate it to your local middle school. If you cannot donate it, Moulton says if you bring it to National Pawn he will buy the instrument from you and then donate to a middle school.
