More than 2000 gallons of wastewater discharged in Southport creek

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — An estimated 2,150 gallons of untreated wastewater was discharged into a Southport creek due to a sewer pipe break.

According to a press release, Southeast Brunswick Sanitary District discharged the wastewater on September 22nd into an un-named tributary of Jump and Run Creek.
